I noticed the pics from the Grade Z classic, "From Hell it Came." As I recall it, the plot concerned a South Seas islander who was murdered by his wife and came back as a demonic tree stump. The quicksand scene was one of the few decent ones in that flick.

It may have been Leonard Maltin who offered this comment: "From Hell it came, and to Hell it can go!"
