Thanks for all the kind words. Glad you are getting a kick out of these.
Here's a couple of different ones... two stills from a French student art film called Ah! which is very cool. It has a very brief sinking scene in it and can be found on Youtube... alas I lost the address...
Next is an image from an Elfquest comic. As far as I can tell, the only sinking sort of thing which happens in the series... it isn't part of a sequence, alas, but looks pretty cool on its own.
Next, a panel from a British comic in a magazine called Tornado... again, no sinking scene per se, but a cool looking bog nonetheless.
Finally, the swamp scene from the Marvel comic adaption of The Dark Crystal, one of my favorite movies... and well ahead of its time when it first came out.

Here's another... from Gold Key Comics The Twilight Zone, inspired by the classic TV show.
The sinking only occurs at the end, but the story is what gets you there, so...

Re: Comic book sinking scenes!
Thank you for these PM2K.
I have been enjoying these quite a bit.
When I get a chance to breathe, I will continue scanning and posting the stuff I've got. There's something about comics, especially horror comics, that is very appealing.
Thanks again - Dave

Re: Comic book sinking scenes!
It is my pleasure!
While I do enjoy the fun and sensual sinks, the melodramatic ones remain a personal fav.. especially in the cause of natural justice, as when the baddie buys it...
An attractive female baddie is definitely icing on the cake...
I'll be posting more soon.

Re: Comic book sinking scenes!
Back again with some more! First set is from Weird War Tales, another personal fav comic of mine.
Next, from Devilina, a horror mag from the 1970s, their take on The Tempest... Shakespearian quicksand? Maybe.. I never studied the play myself... but it is cool...

Hello! Back again after a short absence...
Here's one which has an appropriate climax for the forum, but it is the story itself which builds to it... from a Boris Karloff comic series... This is the first half of the tale...
