Nice find!
Makes me wonder what kind of superpowers Myra, the secretary, must have. I mean, surviving on Jupiter's surface (assuming there even is such a thing) without some sort of special suit is no small feat in itself. And then sinking chest-deep into molten rock to top it off. It should not be too hard to sink into anything considered the planet's gravitation... though it might be a little hard to actually stand upright on solid ground. He, at least, is wearing his special whatever-it-can-do space suit with that large opening which allows him to... uhm, breathe freely?... nevermind.
Ah, the wonders of cheesy old scifi comics. Who cares as long as someone gets to sink in them.

Re: Yet More Comic Book Sinking Scenes
I recently came across improved scans for two sinking scenes from Tragg and the Sky Gods. I know these have been floating around before, but I'm always up for improvements...
First, our red-haired cave girl acquaintance of Tragg gets into sinky trouble while looking for a healing plant to help her love.

Next on the Tragg list, our hero gets up close and personal with a tar pit.

And the rest of the scene, with the cover tossed in.

Lois Lane sinking/snake scene... This has been around before, but not quite this complete, I believe. More improved scans.

Re: Yet More Comic Book Sinking Scenes
I remember reading that Lois Lane issue as a young teen sitting in my dentist's office awaiting braces.
I also remember viewing reader's letters in later issues making fun of this portion of the storyline due to the fact that Superman can literally move mountains, lift aircraft carriers, etc., yet in this issue he couldn't escape the relatively wimpy suction of a little quicksand. A slip-up in storyline consistency there?

I don't worry about things like that... for all we know, Superman enjoys messing with Lois' head... they did that Clark Kent dance for years, after all...

Anyway, here';s something different. A comic adaption of 2000 Maniacs, a low budget horror film where a town which was wiped out by Union soldiers gets its revenge on Northerners every 100 years on the anniversary of the massacre. In the original 1960s version, there is a quicksand scene (Dave had the scene on his classic clip tapes) which is reproduced here.
