There's a fighter on PC and consoles called Gang Beasts. One of the levels, Grind, has a pool of pink goo that fighters slowly sink into. If they can't swim out, they'd drown and lose the match.

All this does is make me wonder why sinky pits couldn't be done in the Wild Area, Isle of Armor, and the Crown Tundra. Sure it'd look a little awkward, but still.

A Jumanji game was just announced, and it's actually a stylized version of the board game, with graphics for every danger. They didn't show quicksand, but since it's a recreation of the board game and not a hammy action flick like the last 2, it's implied to be featured.
