That's me!!![]()
I don't have a GoPro or anything, so I was using my phone (old phone - I'm not crazy). After that clip, I sealed my phone away inside 2 Ziploc bags so I could really start playing. The tidal silt is virtually bottomless! That time out I only sank up to my shoulders, in part because I hit a particularly thick patch at the bottom. It was especially strong suction so it took about 30 minutes to crawl out! This is some of the softest, smoothest, stickiest, deepest mud I've ever seen! You can definitely sink all the way under here.

There's LOTS of mud!!!
This mud is in FL. PM me if you want to trade mud locations - I'm especially interested in any quarry clay spots.
I'll be driving from FL to TX later this month. If anyone in the pan handle, southern Mississippi, or Louisiana knows of a good sinking spot they'd be willing to share, drop me a line!

fetboy8 wrote:Curious if this is anywhere near NSB in Florida. Found a spot just north of there along one of the pull offs on US 1 that you can walk easily into waist deep silt during low tide. Was exploring and sunk down to my waist last Thursday and a little further out a guy on a paddleboard started to go by and stopped for a while looking my way. Don't know if he saw me or not as the sun would of been in his eyes and I was under the cover of some trees. Hoping to get me a kayak soon to do more exploration in that area along with further north by St Augustine

Come on down! The tropical storms are fine! It may be raining sideways, but at least there won't be other people out and about to disturb your private mud time

Yes, of course. I'll hop right on my private jet which is at Birmingham Airport and have my personal air crew fly me right over the Atlantic this evening!
