YouTube Find - Tidal Mud

Postby Ricochet28 » Sun Jun 05, 2016 9:45 pm

Looks like this was posted a few days ago. It's just someone extracting themselves from about thigh depth, stuck in this gorgeous tidal mud. This stuff looks great! :)

That looks amazing! Does anyone know where that is? :D
Oh tosh! Tanya retorted, quicksand churning,
Round her knees, then thighs, then oh dear!
It got intimate with her hips and her panties,
And squished rather funnily up her rear!

That's me!!

I don't have a GoPro or anything, so I was using my phone (old phone - I'm not crazy). After that clip, I sealed my phone away inside 2 Ziploc bags so I could really start playing. The tidal silt is virtually bottomless! That time out I only sank up to my shoulders, in part because I hit a particularly thick patch at the bottom. It was especially strong suction so it took about 30 minutes to crawl out! This is some of the softest, smoothest, stickiest, deepest mud I've ever seen! You can definitely sink all the way under here.

There's LOTS of mud!!!

This mud is in FL. PM me if you want to trade mud locations - I'm especially interested in any quarry clay spots.

I'll be driving from FL to TX later this month. If anyone in the pan handle, southern Mississippi, or Louisiana knows of a good sinking spot they'd be willing to share, drop me a line!

That's an awesome vid, and an awesome picture. :D Would make a great background for fakery, if one were so inclined. ;)

Curious if this is anywhere near NSB in Florida. Found a spot just north of there along one of the pull offs on US 1 that you can walk easily into waist deep silt during low tide. Was exploring and sunk down to my waist last Thursday and a little further out a guy on a paddleboard started to go by and stopped for a while looking my way. Don't know if he saw me or not as the sun would of been in his eyes and I was under the cover of some trees. Hoping to get me a kayak soon to do more exploration in that area along with further north by St Augustine

Well, thank you VERY much for sharing! :D That stuff looks incredible, and it's great to hear just how amazing it was! Certainly makes me envious! Looks very... perfect, at least in my mind!

I hate to be that guy, but there wouldn't happen to be anything else like this from you floating around out there, would there? I think this muck you've found is a real gem!

This place has MUCH more privacy! Aside from my boots, I've been sinking naked - I think we all know how true the saying "less is more" is when it comes to clothes and deep mud! The only downside is dealing with the razor sharp oyster beds.

I don't have the gear to do any real mud shooting. I'm pleasantly surprised that my phone came out of it with no mishaps. In addition to mud, I have been doing a fair amount of play with slime, but since that's a bit off topic for this forum, I'll just link to my umd profile where I've posted about my various experiences/experiments: http://umd.net/mscfmjkj

Credit for finding this spot goes to a fellow mudder who was kind enough to share it with me.

Come on down! The tropical storms are fine! It may be raining sideways, but at least there won't be other people out and about to disturb your private mud time

Yes, of course. I'll hop right on my private jet which is at Birmingham Airport and have my personal air crew fly me right over the Atlantic this evening!

I think if we could afford to have a private jet with personal air crew, we'd all rather spend the money building our own personal backyard mud pits! Add some heating elements and you'd have a year-round mud jacuzzi!
