It's not U.K.; this is Plymouth, Mass, USA.

Not Plymouth, UK but rather Plymouth, MA ;)

Horray for tidal mud! Been there (well, not exactly there), done that multiple times and enjoyed it!

Every time I see something like this I always wonder exactly how I would deal with finding someone in such a situation. Having extricated myself and several ladies more than a few times I just can't see a need for all that help. In my mind I remove my own footwear and head out there to just get it done.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Hehe, a self rescue is quite difficult when you don't want to get your hands muddy
That tidal, clayish stuff is the muddiest substance i know. Clings everywhere, great sucking-power and really heavy compared to earth-mud (is that a word?) or peat. I'm always gray from the neck down after i manage to extricate myself, even when sinking just to the belly or so.

No surprise that clueless folks get constantly stuck in this stuff and have to be rescued, even when they are sunk just up to their mid-thighs.

Cool! Thanks for sharing!

One of the first times my Lady Wife watched a QS video with me, when the model started to sink in the deceptively solid-looking lake shore, my wife said "Good grief, girl- lie down, pull your legs out, and gator crawl back to solid ground!" So practical, my Lady.
