But it seems strange that the previous version worked fine for me the first time I tried it and posted it, but the next day it didn't. Could it be cookie related?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news...again...but it STILL isn't working.

It works for me at the moment. I suppose that tomorrow, it won't work for me either. How about when it is embedded in this post using the img tag?

it is posted here somewhere. It's from a book called "The Fantastic Strange". Only a brief mention of the scene though. it's been awhile but I think he dreamed that scene.

Rescue. I actually bought a digital copy but am not sure what happened to it. Searching.

Ah, I remember. It's a digital Kindle copy at Amazon. That was in 2017 but I still have access to it.

Thank you for digging that up. (I kind of prefer to imagine that he's gently setting them down to their dooms...)

I especially love the front-and-center girl, with her wrist-to-forehead damsel in distress pose.

It's one of those great images that leaves you to draw your own story. The girl dangling from his finger makes me think of Sarah Michelle.
