Looks like a nice swampy Island. Here's hoping that Brie Larson possibly finds her way into a bog instead of some Apes son this time. Regardless, should be a fun movie at least

Watched it and thought the same thing. It has a very "dirty" look to the movie. Maybe we'll get lucky.

Would have to be
very lucky, IMO. (Not trying to be a Killjoy mind you. For various reasons, the Q Meter is at about 15 out of 100 at this point in time).
Having said that, there is the slim possibility on top of the slim possibility, that Samuel L. Jackson's character would pontificate loudly during the scene. Hehe

Have to side with DLodoski here, though I think even his Q Meter estimate is optimistic. I was curious and sought out the trailer(s), and there was nothing there that made me think swampy, let alone quicksandy. Perhaps I just have a different mindset there... and yes, I wish to see fit guys in quicksand. So there!

Personally, I would prefer to see Tom Hiddleston at least up to his chest.

15 out of 100 sounds generous. If the new Tarzan had no QS, then what chance with Kong? None of the main KK stories involved QS, and "The Son Of..." didn't involve/include his old man. 1 out of 100 is still optimistic, but that's my bet.

I'm reminded of the hyperventilating that went on before last year's SW movie, then this year's Rogue One. And the endless pile of stuff on the net and youtube about what the fans JUST HAD TO HAVE in it! At some point I weighed in, with the simple observation: fellas, the movie is gonna be about 120 min long, maybe +10% on that, eh? You KNOW that, right? So they don't have time to waste on menusha and mindless, trivial stuff that is barely story-related. (Rogue One is 134min...)
So, I'd put the chance of a sinking scene, here, about ZERO percent

The Q Meter is dynamic, hence the remark "at this point in time".
I meant to post about it years ago. It was something I used to play with in my head as I rounded up VHS titles (purchased and rented) and then scanned through them.
The biggest minus factor at this point is the preponderance of guns and other weapons. The biggest plus is the island factor (and a geological feature being highlighted).
15 sound generous, but that leaves 85 points of
not a fucking chance. Hehe
