I finally found it. Here's a very short but cute scene from the Cartoon Network show based on the popular Japanese pop band from a few years back.

Ami and Yumi's manager Kaz has become idolized as a Godlike figure on an island of natives, so the girls try to expose the ugly truth about him using a series of flashbacks, one of which involves him ignoring the girls as they helplessly sink in quicksand. I personally wish it was a bit longer but it was still well done.
