Hello:
Coronation St, apparently a major UK TV series, has a QS scene forthcoming.
Technically the stills don't look that impressive.

Just a few of the (spoiler) news stories.
There have been a few actual rescues in the UK recently
perhaps this is in response to them.
Enjoy.

He seems very clean coming out again!
Oh tosh! Tanya retorted, quicksand churning,
Round her knees, then thighs, then oh dear!
It got intimate with her hips and her panties,
And squished rather funnily up her rear!

Now that looks really poor.
I'm already chindeep in this mudbog and every desperate attempt to move my stuck legs only drives me deeper in. The thick mud slowly swamps my waders and my arms have nothing to hold onto.
I'm feeling home.
I'm feeling home.

Although it "looks poor" compared to the stuff we're into, it looks like it's quite realistic.
Beneath the water is a pretty likely place for quicksand, but of course it means we don't actually SEE the quicksand itself.
A few months back there was a horrible case in the newspapers where several guys that died in quicksand that was beneath the water at the beach. First couple of them were stuck, then their friends came over to help and they got stuck too, and the tide came in.

Has it been on yet? I could tape it if it hasn't and possibly rip it but don't have a YouTube account

Re: U.K. TV Coronation St. QS Scene (m)
There was a scene in the episode "The Bowmans" in the radio sitcom "Hancock's Half Hour" in which Hancock, playing an actor in a radio soap opera, disposed of the entire cast in a collapsing mineshaft, replacing the characters with new characters all played by himself, in revenge for the director trying to write out his character.I would envisage this episode of an interminably boring mind-numbingly patronising tv show as providing a model for disposing of the entire cast. Perhaps the distributor could replace it with the reason we all bought satellite dishes in the first place; the Italian game show "Housewife Strip"?
"Aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh! Quicksand! I'm sinking! I'll go straight to the bottom of.......GLURP!"
(a month later)
"Ugh! Yukkkh! Ptui! I'm out of it! I'm free! Not even quicksand can defeat the power of.....the Eye of Zoltec!"
