To this day, folks with fresh installations of the VLC player have not reported any problems playing the newer MPV renders.

It's so nice players like this exist...I have never been a fan of QuickTime.

I changed the extensions of both files to that of the original file they were from, .divx, which I hope works better.

Like UberGaijin, the video doesn't play for me even though I have all of the needed codecs, but it works when I used VLC. Really odd, considering I generally have more problems with videos in that app.
