On Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Lost World", season 1, episode 9, entitled "Paradise Found", there is a community that has achieved eternal youth. Their secret is the fruit of a rather "unique"
tree, which, when eaten, restores and maintains youth. But, in order for the tree to produce this special fruit, it requires sacrifices! Even though this is plant vore, the way it feeds is exactly the same way a quicksand pit swallows its victims (although the "pit" is a standing vertical one in the trunk of the tree)! In fact, for the scenes, they use mud covered with moss and/or green fuzz for the effect!
