The following is some information of a technical nature related to this product regardless of the brand name:

The material is a semi-permeable plastic that contains sodium ions. When put into water, molecules of water enter the plastic because the salt concentration inside is higher than outside. This causes the plastic to swell considerably - absorbing several hundred times it weight in water. When salt is added to the water OUTSIDE the plastic, so that the concentration is highest outside the plastic the movement of water is reversed. The piece of plastic shrinks back down towards its original (dry) size. It does NOT DISSOLVE, however. If the contents of the bathtub, hot tube, or whatever is dumped into the sewer that means the plastic is dumped into the sewer. This is not usually considered a good thing. It would almost certainly be better, assuming you have some land, to dump it on the ground to dry and then mix it into the soil. This will make the soil hold moisture better and may actually improve it in the right amount. But NO SALT.
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 13 different producers. Info may be found at:

The girls who did the Orbeez hot tub video also did a better gummy bear hot tub video, which inevitably resulted in exclamations of, "it's like quicksand!"

Especially when the salt water flushed down with the material gets diluted with other water in the sewer or septic tank, resulting in the material swelling up again, inside the sewer or septic tank!
I sink, therefore I WAM!!!!
