TMNT - lost oppertunity

In the recent Nick TV version of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles there was a recent 3-part episode titled: "Raphael: Mutant Apocalypse" set in a MAD MAX future wasteland joined by a furry Meerkat girl character, they encounter ((( quicksand pits }}} but only a bad guy vehicle & some lizard mutants are swallowed up - they blew it again!!
