There was another one where they dumped a stolen van "all the way to China" the same way.

I know of that one also, and that is valid. The one I mean involves (I think) some stolen equipment inside a van. I think the Dukes were falsely accused of stealing it. They ditched it in quicksand under the water. As I recall:

SHERIFF: "Oh, it's really ... gone ...."
UNCLE JESSE: "All the way to China."

All these mentionings of sinking all the way to China, reminds me of one of my favorite scenes from TV. The "Adventure Inc" scene. After the girl is rescued she says "for a minute there I thought I was going to sink through to China"

The adventure, Inc. is a really good scene, and one I always remembered. Real attractive woman in a scuba outfit who was so stuck that the guy needs to pull her out with a car. Just wish the sinking was a bit slower.

I was even looking for it on DVD last night. There is a box set of the entire series but it's very rare and not available in the UK. EBay had it available in Australia and the US but shipping here is both expensive and slow. Amazon also has it on their US site but the seller there doesn't ship internationally

It's region 1, but that wouldn't be a problem for me as I have a multi-region player. I might end up emailing a friend in Alabama and ask them to order it from Amazon and ship it on to me, just wondering if the rest of it would actually be worth watching... it might not be that good considering it was axed after only one season.
