Starstruck on Disney

Postby QuicksandMania » Sun Feb 14, 2010 4:06 am

It looked like a possible sinking scene involving a car and a young lady. I just caught the advertisement for the movie, called Starstruck, on television while I was in the middle of doing something else and channel surfing. I could not tell if they were high school or college age. It is on as a premiere tomorrow night, Sunday, February 14, at 8 PM on Disney. I wanted at least to alert the forum here.

Yeah.I saw it as well.Looks interesting, but I wouldn't want to watch the entire movie for what could be a failure of a scene.I'll wait for someone to put it up on the site

Since the Disney channel runs almost 24 hrs. a day in some part of my house I'm surprised I hadn't caught this yet. Only Disney and MPV could find quicksand in the hills around Los Angeles. 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

Only twice? Which other scene are you referring to?
How unfortunate you didn't have a proper guide to navigate these swamps.

Disney has, over the years, visited the quicksand theme often, and has produced some pretty intense scenes. Hammer is another quicksand rich studio, for example.

These two movies are kids movies and not appropriate for what we would consider a good scene.

Folks will have to do their own homework for the other titles, since I sure wouldn't want to be personally responsible for wasting anyone's time.

Not that any of us older farts have wasted any time over the years, right James?

After having made my previous post, I realized I should clarify my comments.

Back in the day, myself and others sould scour video rental stores, used book stores and used comic book stores looking for scenes. About 99% of that time was 'wasted'. But I wonder how many of the younger folks would consider the treasure trove of stuff that has accumulated as a 'waste'. They wouldn't. It's actually worse than that. I get the feeling that many folks feel entitled to this material, and at the same time, lack the manners and social skills to ask for it properly.

So James, I have an idea of the size of your Gothic Romance collection. You should be proud of the time you 'wasted'. 8-)
