Possible sci-fi swamp or quicksand?

By chance i stumbled across an image on the interbet which seemed to show people in a clump of raised land in a swamp, surrounded by tentacles. It took me a while to find what it was via Google Images but it's the cover of a sci-fi book called Solar Invasion?

I could try and get the book but to ship to the UK would cost about £20! :shock: It seems cheap in the USa so does anyone know the book, or want to get a copy? :oops:
