Nancy Drew scene in book

Some here mentioned there was a quicksand scene in one of the books so I bought a cheap copy to share it :D

I love how they end up covered in mud... Nancy from 'heels to head'? She was wearing heels out there? Some girls, huh? ;) :? :oops: :lol:

Since Nancy had removed the rope that had the boat moored, in order to use it to rescue Ned, I wonder if when they got back to the pier, they found that the boat had floated away? :?

...the heel is a part of the foot? i.e. from head to toe?

Why not just 'heel to head', like you say 'head to toe', rather than 'toes'. If you say 'heels' as plural, you're usually referring to shoes... :? #justsayin
