A word or two of explanation. Some things just aren't worth fighting for. I can't count the number of photos which show up being used for other than the original purpose. Here's the above image once again and it's all over the internet because it's so dramatic looking.



Here's one of my favorites that's been everywhere - The first one shows a watermark for 4chan. Def not for them.



This one steals photos and vids without attribution for an entire article. They even removed the MPV watermark/copyright.

This can be overlooked because it doesn't make MPV look bad. What's bad is when they steal an entire video and give it away in their name or better still, resell it. That gets attention pretty quick in most cases. Short of that it's pretty easy to give occasional individual photos the "whatever" shrug.

My attitude was directed at the dweeb who used the picture and then was cheeky enough to watermark it, as if he did something special. If anyone should be upset, it should be Jane. She absolutely nailed the body language there.

Like Duncan said, I have to deal with assholes who steal videos. It's like someone siphoning gas out of your tank because, well, you have more than you need. Or taking the fries out of your kids happy meal. Stealing is stealing.

This issue here, while tacky, isn't limiting my ability to shoot videos. I appreciate the thought though.
