Judging by those hats in the muck, that fellow sunk a man and woman in dat there same quicksand!!

Sadly, that scene does not exist in the comic. A very early form of clickbait?
The hats belong to victims who perished some time before. You get a page explaining the situation, and then QS is never mentioned again until the very last panel. Quite a let-down...again.
On the last page, the baddie confronts an eagle (?) while making his escape, and falls to his death. 1 out of 5 for the cover but no filler.
