Starting at 1:16, is there a clip for that scene where the guy and girl are in the quicksand pit? I never saw that before.

Oh that one! - that was a scene from Mythbusters when they built a tank to test if you would go under in quicksand. The lady was just one of the assistants.

Right. I never saw her on the Mythbusters video. I was hoping Kari Byron was going to give it a try. :)

Nope, that was Scottie Chapman from Series 2 (2004), Jessie was only on the show in 2009 (KariĀ“s maternity leave).

Found another "How To Get Out Of Quicksand" cartoon. This time it has quite a few curvy females stuck and sinking!

Why the fuck are these so goddamn weird? This one too. Some of the descriptions of quicksand almost sound like they were written by a member of this community, or someone close to it, right? But these are on like, otherwise normie-ass educational-ish YouTube channels, yeah? It just strikes me as... kinda odd, you know?

The tinfoil hat part of my brain is like "Yo, what if it's like a government psy-op or... something... in an attempt to... impart a quicksand fetish on people at a young age? Or something? For some... reason?"

Haven't really cork-board-and-red-yarn'd out the motivation behind something like that yet, but we'll get there. And it's fairly safe to say these channels are geared toward a pretty young audience, yeah? I know I've been into it since I was very, very young, and it was definitely from just seeing it in so many cartoons and whatnot. And those cartoons' dialogue often were pretty descriptive of the quicksand in a way that apparently made it sound appealing somehow to young me and others.

I dunno, shit just strikes me as odd.
