A fast dry scene in the beginning and at the 4:55 mark. I only remembered watching the woman wearing heels as her legs briefly shuffle in the sand. Found it kinda hot =P

Heh, I remember the original 1950s version, had quite a few very fast dry sand scenes.

Also, there was an issue of Pentahouse Comix that had a satirical story obviously based on Invaders on Mars (presumably the 50s version) that featured a man and woman sinking into dry sand as well.
