Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

For fans of grim, dramatic, female/damsel-in-distress quicksand scenes, this was nice. Yes - the quicksand is below water level, but the female does walk across the quaking quicksand before entering the water. And the director took time to show quick shots under the water, with legs in the quicksand. Plus, there is a menacing man watching her sink to her doom at the castle.

Alas, I would have liked to see this last longer, but for a TV movie, it is impressive. For those who want to learn more about the film, here is the IMDB link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1725020/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

I hope to visit this site someday in the not too distant future.

Yeah, sadly it appears madam has sank to a boggy doom.

I don't know how I missed this but thank you for finding it. I was actually looking for another post and I saw Acid Tester's enthusiastic response so I figured it was worth checking out.

Reminds me of walking through the slurry ponds in Chester. There were moments when it was very much like that with a foot of water on top. You either had to practically run upstairs constantly or hang on to a canoe. Gave me one of those "Oh shit..." moments. Cool scene.

Wow! That’s awesome! I think that Mont Saint Michel is such a cool place and concept. A giant majestic castle in France that lures in a bunch of tourists, but the castle is also completely surrounded by natural quicksand that can suck you down if you’re not careful. A neat place to make a lot of quicksand scenes with the real stuff if you live in France! :D

Hi.

This scene raises a question in my mind. How do you survive if you stumble into quicksand that is under water? You can't exactly lay on your back and slowly pull your legs out. And if the water is only 3 feet deep but the quicksand is 4 feet deep, you're in trouble. How do you escape from this particular peril?

Thanks,

Bob St.
