I always accepted Cary Grant's definition of the standard -

"Under eighteen" depends on the place. This is federal law in the USA, but if you look on a map you'll discover than it's 18 in a few states only. It's 16 in Canada. It's 16 or 15 in most countries of Europe (14 in some others, 13 in Spain). It greatly varies in Asia (for example, 18 in Turkey, 14 in China, 13 in Japan). What we have is, it's legal to have sex with a girl, but if you draw a naked girl of the same age, it's "child porn". It's not a hypocrisy already, it's pure stupidity. Even more stupid is the fact that "you are not allowed to see boobs despite you have your own ones".
