Wow! Why might water bubble up in just that one small patch? I know underground springs can cause quicksand, but a spring on the shoreline seems odd. An underground tunnel/stream maybe?

And thank you for the corrections. As someone who kind of prides himself on being able to recognize a globe, that was an embarrassing mistake made in haste. :roll:
