Dutch for mud is modder
Dutch for quicksand is drijfzand
German for Quicksand is Quicksand
German for Mud is Schlamm

Feel free to add to this. I've already seen a lot of new tidal mudflat videos since finding "modder"

In Icelandic, according to Google Translate, kviksyndi.

Sounds like a name for a character in a series of sinking stories, or perhaps a nickname for someone in this forum.
