I'm not sure if "phobia" and "philia" are prefixed with Latin or Greek, but what would the "philia" be for our particular interest here? Translations of the following words suggest themselves as the prefix:
* sinking
* mud
* quicksand
Of course, if there is a term already for "fear of sinking/quicksand/mud", we need only replace "phobia" with "philia"!
Claustrophobia is derived through Latin, and after checking three on-line Latin-English dictionaries, the first result I got anywhere vaguely close was "syrtis".
Syrtophilia?
