Happy Tina Louise in "quicksand"

Postby pucipal » Sat Apr 30, 2022 1:06 pm

Apparently they're from the same photoshoot sessions of the 1958 movie God's Little Acre. But there's no such scene in the actual movie proper. :|
Perhaps it's from Gilligan's Island? Hmmm....

She looks awesome in that grain pile.

Apparently the leftovers from a photo shoot for the poster, not a scene in the movie. Most likely taken during a separate photo publicity session. May not even be the same place the movie was shot: http://www.andrewsobol.com/portfolio/gods-little-acre/

I clicked on this expecting some lame old Gilligan's Island kind of thing.

Wow, that's quite the surprise!

Great photos and Tina looks wonderful.

These photos were among several interesting shots of Tina that were taken as publicity for God's Little Acre. Unfortunately not one of those photos has the first thing to do with the movie which is one of those attempts at Southern Gothic that was so in vogue in the time. Patriarch Robert Ryan is kind of a primordial Jed Clampett and isn't bad. I guess they got him to have someone taller (6'5") than Tina. The rest of the casting is just a howl as they are nearly all from New York, including Tina. They've even got Buddy Hackett in there doing comic relief with a very odd South-Brooklyn accent. The entire movie is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Anyhow, for purposes of our fetish, it misses some opportunities by far. Young Tina is a nice underused part of the scenery but that's about it.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

Another publicity shot for the movie, sans the "quickgrain".

Such beautiful pictures of a gorgeous woman :D One has to wonder exactly why they took these in the first place (maybe it'd make more sense if I saw the movie), but whatever the reason, I'm sure glad they did!

Thanks for sharing pucipal!
Finally broke down and went to see a psychologist. She told me I just have an overactive imagination—and it really excited her. We're going sinking next weekend. Theo's AI Quicksandbox New stuff every weekend (unless life gets in the way)

They were looking for the beast shots to use for publicity promotions and movie posters.

And the winner is (also used for the DVD jacket):

One can only wonder how many frustrated men watched that whole movie waiting for this non-existent scene to come up. :)

One of the things about the movie is the setting occurs largely in a Georgia swamp area. The premise is there should be buried gold somewhere on this farm. What's wrong with this picture? (Hint - It was shot in California)
