Thanks! Yeah, the story does cut corners, but this does serve as a cool look into the old movie industry and how they did things. Remember, this was first published in the 1930s, so the pit was likely considered state of the art at the time. Pretty neat someone dedicated a whole mystery to quicksand scenes too...
Speaking of old comics... here's one with a title which begs to be read.... I;ve included the whole story, although the quicksand is held to the last page, because it is the week of Halloween and for some reason I found this family's callous disregard for one another to be hilarious... but I kind of have that sense of humor.
