Quicksand Fans

That last one. If you had said it was quicksand, I would have believed you.

Whomever make these is a skillful photographer. As for being a "near miss" I'd put it in the category of a police radar clocking a drive at 95 by error, when the driver was really going only 94. It's still speeding.

Not quicksand. But could really well be some particular soft spot far out on the mudflat during low-tide.

I've got a gallery of stuff like that. It's good for the imagination if nothing else.
