It's really a shame the quicksand fetish community is constantly being outdone by mainstream movies and shows when it comes to scenes of weighty drama and epic betrayals. There is nothing more seductive to me than a situation pregnant with mystery, tension and dread, with quicksand near at hand, ready to dispose of the evidence of foul play, innocent damsels and conniving murderesses alike mysteriously disappearing one by one.
But sure, let's put some more nameless, contextless T and A in the mud with no stakes, very exciting

My dad's expression for this was, "That's why they make strawberry ice cream." Second, that what is produced commercially is what is supported by customers. That is inevitable unless some third party underwrites things. Third, that the nature of a quicksand scene (not to mention everything else) is at least partly in the eye of the viewer.
There are, of course, some solutions to the dilemma. One is to hire a producer to produce what is wanted. Yes, that is expensive The other is to become a producer and make it oneself. That is, obviously, more expensive. And that brings us back to the second point above.

I'm pointing to a trend I see, not just about my personal tastes. And I'm not really commenting about commercial fetish producers, whose constraints we have already covered, but things like stories and drawings people post, which cost them nothing more than time and passion to make.
They are not under the same pressure to always cut to the chase, or to avoid complex emotions and motives and plots that are difficult and expensive to direct and capture on film, but increasingly they do. It's not that there's any lack of creative energy either - people are always coming up with ways to render ever more beautiful women, ever more enticing mires, in their drawings, 3D works, and AI gens; and story writers continue to come up with more vivid ways to describe how the quicksand slurps at the damsel's body. But less and less often do I see that energy going into the setting-up. And the payoff suffers for it.
I guess I've been spoiled by reading old Gothic romances with quicksand as a plot point. The trouble is there aren't very many of them! And yes, I'm working on writing one. It's just going to take me awhile...!

I don't mean to make light of your accomplishments, but most of your (and other video producers') dramas have been distinctly campy. I'm not knocking it, plenty of people seem to enjoy it, and I think the material constraints of running a viable video production business for a niche fetish make it more or less unavoidable.
It's just that it seems like an increasing share of the pictures and stories people share freely, are also not going for complexity or gravitas, even though they aren't bounded by the same constraints. I also get the feeling that we are seeing increasing recursion - quicksand fetish material based off of other quicksand fetish material, in many layers by now, becoming more abstract, more clichéd and less grounded in primal emotions.
So, I find it refreshing when non-fetishists make a scene like this one, where there is clearly lots of unspoken background and context behind the guy's conflicted expression as he resolves to push the girl in, she is clearly set up as a person who would not only be missed, but who would complicate the story by dying, and all the actors play the scene as serious as a heart attack.
