Here's a link to a video of a lady driving a Toyota 4-Runner across the desert and being warned to move quickly after she stops. I didn't get it at first but look down at the tires. I'm not sure where she is but this may be an example of a "sabkha" found in the serious "no shit" deserts of the Middle East. There are stories ranging from Lawrence of Arabia , WWII in Egypt where Montgomery used an area like this to protect his flank, to modern day with losing bulldozers in such places. I did manage to download the video but can't upload it here for some reason.

Probably big enough for a short bus (if you're into that sort of thing).

Definitely a sabkha environment but also definitely somewhere in the lower 48

We need a scouting party at once!

Edit: Also “Wtf is that!” *proceeds to walk right over it*.

The Qattara Depression. A little east of the Libyan border. The bottleneck that broke Rommel’s back.
