A mud run video with some really thick & deep mud

Folks,

I find the mud run competitions rather interesting (for many reasons, not just the obvious!). However, most mud runs have very watery mud, and it is usually quite shallow. Take a look at this video, though:

- they had some quite deep, and very thick mud. You will find it beginning at 4:18.

As a producer, I was thinking, "Damn! If I could have known, I would have used that local the day after the competition!"

I share your interest in these things and as a runner I've often wanted to participate. Problem is that most such events like "Muddy Buddy" etc. require at least a partner (Nessie) to sign up. Ideally it would be a female (Nessie) with a good degree of fitness (Nessie) some experience running (Nessie) and a fondness for mud. (Nessie).

Damnit!!! According to your description that should have been a nice vid.

It's a five minute video and most of it is people slogging through water or clambering through/over assault course type stuff. There's only about 15 seconds of thick deep mud in the final minute. It is impressive that the competitors seem to be genuinely having to work hard to slog through the mud or to pull themselves out.

I can't guarantee that this will work, but those of you who are having problems accessing Youtube content in another country might consider trying to access it through a web proxy. Here's one that you can try.

If this doesn't work, there are others online, as well as specialized software...
