This was quite good, thanks. :)

It was surprisingly good visually, with only a minor mechanical flaw near the end.

Seems like the original dialogue was English. Hopefully someone can track this down and make it savable. Definitely worth collecting IMO.

German TV movie, so I suspect no english copies...But hoping.

The story of "Eva Overboard" is - as befits adventurous comedies - a pretext for a whimsical riff-raff, garnished with a bit of action and a couple of mostly fast-paced gags. The adventure genre with pirates and jungle hazards provides the storyline, while comedy gives the details. Author-director Peter Gersina relies on type comedy and much less on language joke. A bit of screwball touch may be, Julia Hartmann is gorgeous comic, Luca has to hold the role because of witty. The film eludes strict rules of criticism, is purely a matter of taste and depending on whether you feel like a portion of genre-trash.

It took a while, but it worked. Thanks.

The funny thing is that the file plays back in the same jerky way that it plays on the site. It must have something to do with the streaming performance coming from the server.

Really? 10 Posts just about another scene with some dirt on top of a puddle? :?

I also wonder if this the way foreign films are "dubbed" in russia.
I'm already chindeep in this mudbog and every desperate attempt to move my stuck legs only drives me deeper in. The thick mud slowly swamps my waders and my arms have nothing to hold onto.
I'm feeling home.

11 posts. Getting mainstream entertainment to do anything right today is a challenge. It's easy to get excited over what some of us regard as a pretty good scene in context. I can remember when Xena in a hole generated three days of intense discussion and 64k image pieces on Usenet.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

Beggars can't be choosers. The scene itself is one of the better ones in mainstream media - good setup, funny scene, nice sinking pace. It has all the elements of a good TV scene. Even the watery pit wasn't that bad. The editing avoided shots that looked like she was standing in a puddle. It's not thick mud, but it doesn't ruin the scene.
