Danny's Prank
Hey, I remember reading a story called Danny's Prank on here. When I went looking through the stories section, it seems to have disappeared. Does anybody possibly have a copy, or at least who originally wrote it?

Re: Danny's Prank
Yeah, they seem to have removed it from the forums for some reason, which is a shame as it's a great story.

Danny’s Prank
By The Wolverine
"So that's it?" Danny asked, staring at a barren yet soupy patch of earth just on the other side of the creek where he and his friend Todd stood. "Yup." Todd answered, feeling like the man who just discovered fire. "Think it's like in the jungle movies, where it sucks ya all the way in?" Danny asked, not looking away from their discovery. "I dunno, if it was I don't think our folk's would let us play here." Todd said as he slapped a mosquito on his arm. "Wouldn't it be neat to see someone sinking in it?" he asked as he turned to Todd with a boyish grin. "Yeah, but no one is that stupid." he replied. The two stared at the patch of land for a bit longer then as boy's do, they got bored and decided to explore elsewhere.
Danny and Todd had been friends for nearly four years now, ever since Danny and his family moved to New Jersey from Philly. They lived in a rural development. Danny’s family was fortunate enough to afford a middle class development home. His father made a modest living as an advertising exec, and his mother was a 3rd grade teacher. He was 8 when he moved, so the change wasn't so bad from city to suburbs. For his sister, Marisa, who was 17 at the time, it was devastating. She had bawled her eyes out and begged her parents to not move. Her friends and social standing would be gone. It took her a long while to adjust, but she did eventually. Soon she had a new social standing, and a new batch of friends. Many of whom Danny detested. They always teased him. All except one. Dotty Hendricks.
Dotty was Marisa's best friend. She was twenty and very outgoing, but not snotty like the other girls. She always acknowledged Danny, and on occasion discussed his favorite cartoons, of which he was surprised to learn she too enjoyed. They'd even wrestle sometimes. Danny loved to play tricks on Dotty too. Tricks he likely enjoyed more then her. One time he told her he was gonna do a magic trick and hand cuffed her to the towel rack in the bathroom. Then ran off laughing, closing the door behind him. His sister would set her free and come looking for him to tear him a new asshole. Dotty didn't mind too much, to her it was just a boy being a boy. Danny however, was getting more out of pranks like this then even he could understand. When he hid, part of him hoped she'd stay bound forever, no one would ever find her. It wasn't that he wished her harm; just something about her being helpless made him happy. At his young age, puberty just beginning to set in, he couldn't comprehend the meaning of such thoughts and feelings, nor could he understand why it was only Dotty he seemed drawn to do these things to, though in fairness he found himself looking at pictures or seeing women on TV and wishing he could see them in various states of peril. Dotty was the only accessible one. He'd never heard of bondage or fetishes yet, his mind was still young and innocent, but puberty was planting its seeds. His parents and sister didn't see his antics as anything more then boyhood pranks either, but they went a step further and thought that Danny had a crush on Dotty. This wasn't quite true. While he did like Dotty, more then as just a friend, it wasn't a romantic thing, it was a flesh thing. To put it simply, Danny had fantasies, and Dotty could fulfill them.
******************************************************
It was a cool fall day when Danny decided to play another prank on Dotty. This was gonna be his most daring yet. Worse then when he attempted to mummify her with Duct tape. He'd gotten to her waist when she told him to stop. He did so reluctantly. He could have ignored her, he really did want to see her all wrapped up, but he didn't for fear he'd get yelled at by his folk's.
He called Dotty's cell and she answered in two rings "Hey Ris." she answered cheerfully. "It's not Marisa Dotty, its Danny." he said nervously, already paranoid she'd figure out his prank. "Hey what's up D?" she asked as if his calling her was normal. "Nothing. Listen, can you come over. I wanna show ya something." he asked, trying to sound normal. "Right now?" she asked. "Yeah." There was silence for a minute. "Ok. Where's your sis at?" she answered finally. Danny breathed a sigh of relief. "She's at the mall with my mom." he replied. "Ok, I'll be there in like 10 minutes." with that, they both hung up.
Sure enough, ten minutes later she was there. He opened his front door to greet her. She was a pretty girl, about 5'8, 125lbs, modestly built. Her hair was red and bobbed at her neck. Today she was wearing a smooth, tight, white cotton turtleneck that was rolled up to her chin, a pair of faded jeans and sneakers. She smiled as he greeted her. "So what's up?" she asked as she attempted to enter. Danny blocked her and began to exit. "Uh...it's actually outside." he explained. "Outside?" Dotty asked alitle confused. "Yeah, actually it's at dead man's creek." he explained. Dotty's left eye brow immediately went up as she eyed him with suspicion. "This another prank D?" she asked. Danny did his best innocent look. "No, I swear. Me and Todd found something yesterday." Dotty still looked suspicious. "Found what?" she asked as she placed her hands on her hips. "It’s a surprise, you'll like it though, I swear." Dotty wasn't convinced. "I dunno D, your little friend is probably waiting for us so he can throw bugs at me or something." Danny was getting impatient. "He is not, he's at soccer practice, you can call his house if ya want." he said sounding somewhat upset. Dotty took this as him being hurt and immediately agreed to go. "Ok Danny boy, I'll go, but if this is another prank so help Me." she said with a stern look. Danny smiled. "I promise its not." he said as he walked past her to lead the way. Dotty shook her head and followed.
Dead man’s creek was really what was left of the wetlands that existed before civilization decided it needed the land for housing. The children gave the this area it’s name, though why that particular name is anyone’s guess. Each child will tell you about some horror that happened there. None of it true of course, but then the place wouldn’t be as fun if it didn’t have some danger attached. The creek was actually quite small, three feet wide, and a few inches deep. It ran behind a row of house’s and wound it’s way through a dense wooded area and out into a drainage area where the developments sewers met. In all it ran for about a mile. The area, was still swampy at times, and was home to many forms of insect life, including ticks.
When they reached the creek, Danny stopped and looked around. He didn't spot the patch at first, but after a few moments he found it. "So what's here?" Dotty asked looking around. "You'll see, first ya gotta jump over the creek, it's easy, watch." with that he took a running start and leaped over the small creek to the other side. The barren earth was about 5 feet from him. "See!" he said from the other side. Any other girl might have declined, but Dotty was adventurous, and made the leap. She landed on the other side with no problem. "So, where to now?" she asked, kind of enjoying this little adventure now. Danny looked at the patch of land 5 feet away and realized this was it. Something foreign to him began to stir inside. "Right over there. That empty spot. Stand there and count to five then look down." he told her. Dotty was confused. "Huh" was all she could say. "Trust me, it's neat!" he said excitedly. Dotty looked at him then the patch then shrugged. As she walked to the patch, she noticed how the ground shook, like a water bed. She stopped in the center, and as Danny said, counted to five and looked down. What she found was her sneakers buried in mud. "DANNY!" she yelled. Danny laughed. "I'm gonna kill you. You got me all the way out here to stand in mud didn't you?" she said somewhat upset. "Nope, cause that's not mud. It’s Quicksand." he said mockingly. "Right. Wait till I get you." she said as she attempted to walk towards him. She obviously didn’t believe him. Her feet were firmly planted, and when she tried to get them out, she went deeper. She was at mid calf now.
Danny leaped back over the creek and ran to a patch of overgrown weeds. He pulled out a large wooden board and showed it to her. "Todd found this the other day. He sad with a grin. "Dotty stopped what she was doing and looked at the board, which was actually a sign. One that read: Danger Quicksand! Dotty was stunned. "Oh shit, Danny!" She resumed her struggles again, more frantic now. Danny watched with more then a boyish interest as she slowly sank. He was really enjoying this. He didn't know why watching her sink was so exciting, but it was. He wondered how deep she would go. He knew he'd get in a lot of trouble over this when she told his parents, but he didn't care, it was worth it.
The sign wasn’t real actually, but a left over prop from a pretend session a bunch of area kids had. Though Danny and Todd believed it to be real, and had every reason to. With Dotty rapidly disappearing in front of Danny now, he had no reason to doubt it’s authenticity. The area is usually this boggy, but due to recent rains, the earth had become unstable. As Dotty was now learning.
"Danny!" Dotty yelled at him from across the creek. She was sliding down to her thighs, and it was getting harder for her to move her legs. "Why would you do this?" she asked in anger. Danny shrugged "I dunno, because it's funny." he replied. "This isn't funny Danny, quicksand is dangerous." she said in a semi panicked voice. "Nut uh, only in movies." he replied. Dotty watched as the sand slowly climbed her thighs and cupped her buttock. "Listen to me Danny, if I don't get out I'll go under. I'll disappear forever." she explained. Danny found her last statement exciting; fantasies began to form in his head. No one would ever find her, she'd be gone forever. She never existed. These thoughts caused Danny to experience something he never felt before, an erection. "Dotty couldn't see it, but she could see the look in Danny's eyes, he didn’t comprehend, or so she thought.” Danny...I'll die!" she said near tears. Danny was hit hard by this word. Death wasn't part of the fantasy...or was it? This was all so new and confusing. He didn't want her to die, but whenever he thought of her vanishing forever, it excited him. He couldn't understand this. A loud slurp came from the sand as Dotty was pulled to her waist. She could feel how the sand was softer as she went deeper. She was starting to sink faster. "Danny, please, get a stick or something and help me." Danny didn't budge. He was a prisoner of his own conflicting feelings. He watched as the quicksand slowly climbed her belly staining her white top. She was whipping her head around rapidly looking for something to grab, but there was nothing.
Danny watched with fascination as inch by inch she settled deeper. Dotty too was staring at her vanishing midriff. It was like it was slowly sucking her in, savoring each taste. Her toes were pointed down desperately reaching for a bottom that wasn't there.
When the sand reached her breast, she and Danny watched in silent disbelief as they were gently cupped and raised up slowly. Suddenly Dotty panicked and tried to push her way out. Her hands plowed through the muck and became stuck. Fear seized her and she began to struggle viciously. Danny watched as her shoulders rose and fell in her attempts to free her arms. Her struggles were only rewarded with her descent quickening. He watched as the sand slowly consumed her, slowing her struggles, rising over her breast and to her shoulders. As the sand devoured her shoulders, she finally stopped struggling and looked too Danny with pleading eyes. Now only her head and turtleneck covered neck was above the surface. She couldn't believe this. She was almost gone. Like some jungle girl in a bad Tarzan movie. This couldn’t be happening. She would vanish and continue sinking god knows how deep, into the earth. Just gone. No more Dotty.
She didn’t understand why Danny wasn’t doing something. He just stood there transfixed. The sand climbed her turtleneck and touched her chin. "Danny..." she said in a low tearful voice as she tilted her head back and began to sink into a small depression her head was making. ”I’m almost all gone. Please do something…anything.” Dotty was disappearing into the hole. "I don’t want to die, not like this." she said as she slid into the hole. All she could see on all sides was a thin wall of quicksand. Danny couldn’t see her anymore, just the small hole. Danny was in a haze as he watched. “DANNY PLEASE!” Dotty sobbed. He snapped out of it and looked around.
"Ok, what do I do?" he asked. There was no response. "Dotty?" he asked. Nothing. He jumped to the other side and got close to the pit and looked into the hole. It was empty save for a small puddle of water. Dotty was gone.
Danny stood there a moment in silence. The silence was broken for a moment when bubbles broke the surface then slowly faded and all went still. Fear and another emotion began to take him over. What had he done? Why had he done it? His mind tried to grasp everything. He thought about Dotty, she was buried under the sand, for all time. Then he realized something. Only he knew.
Only he knew…
Right there he made a decision. He wasn’t going to tell anyone what happened. They’d never figure it out, and he wouldn’t go to jail or anything. This made him feel much better. He still felt bad about Dotty though. He really did like her, but he wasn’t sad about how her peril made him feel. She was slowly sinking deeper and deeper right now, never to be found. He liked envisioning that.
Something dark awakened in Danny that day.
*************************************************************************
Years later Danny would be arrested after one of his victims managed to escape a peril he created for them involving smearing cheese into her vagina and loosing several hungry rats on her. She’d managed to get free and use a shard of glass to cut his left eye and escape his apartment. She ran through the streets naked and bloody, screaming her head off for help.
He didn’t attempt to run. He waited for the police and went quietly. Later he told his story and revealed his peril fetish. The press dubbed him “The Damsel Killer”. He then told the police about all his victims. All that is, except Dotty. That was his personal secret. Knowing no one would ever know her fate was his final thrill.
When they pulled the lever to pump 60,000 volts of electricity through his body, his last thought was that day at the creek, when he shed his innocence forever. He had a regret.
He wished he had seen the look on Dotty’s face when she went under.
