Hello all First a BIG thanks to all who post.It is good for us in the land of concrete and blacktop.Have any of our producers or private folk ever tried to take ladies or models to any of the mudfests or mudbogs? Not exactuly Q/S but some of the ones in the south look plenty deep.Having fun covered in mud and not being called weird sounds like a GOOD thing. If only I was 1500 miles closer.Any Hope?

Hmm. I remember way back when Rob showed up at a Mud Volleyball tournament (in Connecticut?) with a model and his video camera.

He got his model to start rolling around in the mud in-between games and drew all sorts of unwanted attention. In fact, he was forced to stop.

So, I don't know it was just a bad idea, or if Rob brought it upon himself. I tend to think the latter due to his contribution to the HBO (Real Sex) debacle.

In any case, when it comes to shooting, I don't like crowds.

My take on this is I would not touch it with a ten foot pole. First of all I expect it would not be appreciated by whomever was organizing the main event. Secondly, any footage gained would be without a plot, other than 'model goes to mud event. Third, any footage gained would likely be contaminated by the presence of large numbers of people who culd not be asked to sign model releases and likely would not do so if asked.

Hmmm... but... is it possible to use some footage as a lead in to a scene at Studio 588? To set the scene... say, a pair of folks meet at a mudfest and end up over their heads, so to speak at a "private" event...

Just a thought... :)

I can see ways footage shot at an event of this type might be incorporated into a scene concluded at Studio 588 or at some other location, especially if the mud fest footage were shot by a third party. It would, however, be complicated enough that it would almost certainly need to be planned in advance. But I don't to mislead. The chance I would do this on my own initiative is close to zero.

If you want to experience success...you cannot be afraid to experience failure.

Even if it happens in public.
