Flash Gordon scene ticks all the boxes - peril, nice thick bog, attractive man, good authentic struggle / sink. Plenty of other media scenes out there.

A recent addition on the commercial scene which also has promise: https://georgy-pie.umd.net/

Putting mudlover and boggyman to one side for the moment, I think the point about some other production attempts ‘not speaking same language’ has some truth to it. Whilst it is always easy to criticise from the sidelines, as a viewer I observed that some of those like the Gage scene - and I’m sure other male sinking fans would agree - lacked the same standard applied to the female BAU clips and which some of the better male media clips tick. It is a chicken and egg scenario - the market won’t be apparent when the offer isn’t of an equivalent standard to the female clips. There’s no obligation too, of course, but I wonder if any systematic feedback or market research was done as a result of those ‘pilots’ - e.g. those that bought, what did you I think? Those that didn’t buy - why didn’t you? Etc.

For those who do ‘speak the language’, opportunity, capital, models etc would be an issue otherwise it would point to starring themselves and there are identity / privacy issues there which for some compound the potential stigma of fetish with the potential stigma (still) of homosexuality (I’d like to think we live in a tolerant world with equality, but that’s not always the case and people don’t want to be judged).

I wonder if some of the WAM male producers / companies could branch out into the sinking / quicksand area? I see loads of potential for things like Eye of The Cyclone - focuses on superhero fetish, but lots of WAM / slime appearing... perhaps a quicksand offshoot?

Anyway, just some ramblings / thoughts / IMHOs.

In a few minutes I will post a reply to this, but it will be posted in the Studio 588 area as the reply is Studio 588 specific.
