looking for scene

hey so i was looking for a scene that was on a show on hulu, i remember it was the first episode and it was about a guy that evil or demons or something followed? the sinking scene had an african american girl being pulled into the ground by a monster’s tentacle after she gets out of her car, and the main guy tries to grab her but she’s pulled in. i’m fairly certain the show was talked about on here as well.
