Indeed, that was a serious improvement over the copy that I have.

There's still a hint of 'tape' there, but not to the extent that I'm not thrilled to have a copy such as this.

Cool scene!

Though somewhat absurd. There was plenty of vegetation all around, lots of trees and bushes she could have simply run 10 seconds in any direction and gotten some branches or something. And the quicksand pit didnt' seem very wide, she could have simply run aroud and approached it from behind and reached her easily. So a bit daft that felt the need to make a deal with the devil!

Does anyone remember a TV series on ITV in the UK sometime in the 70s about a "Princess Caraboo" type girl who was rescued from a gang of Wreckers on the English south coast sometime in the late 1700s? The last episode was called "Shivering Sands", in which the Princess was rescued from quicksand and her erstwhile captor, the leader of the Wreckers, David Jason(!) was not.
