I am trying to find a old famous quicksand video in HD or the highest quality available.

The video in question is the famous "Krystal Red Dress" quicksand video as seen in the image below.

Image

First i would like to ask if any of the producers can point me to a website that is selling the original video if it is still available to buy somewhere.

If it is not available to genuinely buy (not pirate from YouTube etc) and if any the producers have a high quality clip of it, you should put it up on UMD / C4S for sale etc.

depending upon what i can get my hands on i may AI upscale my original copy.

It's a great clip. But it was never good in terms of video quality. It's a viral piece of the internet, never sold, and frozen in it's poor video quality.

It was likely shot on an inexpensive cell phone, the original footage long gone.

The only realistic up-scaling that you're likely to achieve is in your own imagination.

You don't need HD quality for this video. It is just purely simply awesome, and for it's time, the best quicksand video I could imagine!

I’ll try not to make this an annoying habit, beachbum, but I second this comment, as well. She really does ham it up well in a slow sink in a fantastic real bog. There are a number of DevilClown era Krystal videos floating around on-line (Man in the Shadows, Car Breakdown) that are also good and all in real bog locations, but the red dress one is her best old one, in my opinion.

Hmmm, I might be able to clean it up some and remove some artifacts but in terms of upscaling or sharpening, it actually might make it look worse. I can see if there is a decent model to use on Topaz but I think there isn’t much that can be done beyond cleaning up the noise

Trouble there, there isn’t much you can do with an image that pixelated. Sadly with all the years this clip has been passed around, you are probably never going to find a virgin clip of it to use to get a halfway decent model to work. Cleaning up the noise and artifacts is probably the best you are gonna get. You can try up scaling but anything beyond 480p is probably gonna look ridiculous and sharpening has a tendency to make the edges and mid-tones on subjects plastic looking.

For software, Topaz is great but again, you’re limited to what your input source is. If it is a garbage copy already, you can’t expect anything beyond SD quality on the other side

I'm one of the lucky few who received their copy of DevilClown's DVD when it was for sale. This clip is referred to as "Blast from the Past" on that collection. It doesn't look all that much better than what's out there on the internet.
