Shelby Woo from Nickolodean

Postby spunkee311 » Thu Apr 16, 2009 7:44 am

I remember in the early days of Youtube, there were a lot of quicksand vids that have since been taken down. Anyways, anybody know any info on where I can find the episode where I believe she stumbles in to quicksand at a construction site?

It's interesting that this clip came up so quickly, because it came up in discussions as an example of a borderline age issue.

I'm going to side with allowing it since the actress in question (Irene Ng) was 22 at the time it was filmed.

This was a cool scene... I know Kaol has posted images from it from time to time.

Maybe Youtube has something?

I do recall this clip being on youtube awhile ago but I haven't been able to locate it during any recent searches. It would be pretty sweet if a member on here had it backed up! :D

I have the clip on my old PC, in QuickTime format. I'll have it up as soon as I can, but I may have to convert it to make sure it works on the newer PCs.

The Shelby Woo scene has about the best quicksand consistency of any scene. Too bad they edited out (with the commercial break) her sinking from her knees to her waist. If this part was included, it would have rivaled Tarzan's Hidden Jungle as the best scene ever. I would look forward to seeing it; I knew that the actress was much older than her show character.

I have this scene in AVI. It's about 8.25meg. Can I post it here, or is that too big?

We are not allowing video attachments in the Nuggets area (the only area that would make sense for this) because we have decided that main stream clips should be hosted elsewhere and then linked to.

Youtube and Rapidshare seem to be popular for this sort of thing. 8-)

The initial sinking wasn't "edited" out per se. The scene was shot in two takes - the first in a shallow spot where she first falls in; and in the second shot she's moved to the deeper end where she can sink. You can spot this shift because of the location of the signpost before and after the commercial break.
