Female quicksand scenes

Postby mathew91 » Mon Jan 16, 2012 6:39 am

This is for Dave. Dave at one time you offered female as well as male qs scenes from movies and tv in vhs format. Since everything is on dvd today I would like to know if you are or can have these vhs tapes but on dvd. If so how much? Thank you for your time.

Respectfully,

Matt

Ahhh the ol clip tape days. God I miss those (Never did manage to get the complete set either, phooey). I do not think Dave is doing clip tapes anymore and if I remember correctly, he had very little intentions of starting it up again (I forget the reasons he laid out but maybe he can clarify here) but I have been wrong before, who knows.

Well, Bruce pretty much summed up how I feel about the tapes. Except for one exception, everyone has moved past taking cash for clips. But in my case, I'm still not sure if I ever covered my searching costs (you have to kiss a lot of frogs).

The whole clip tape thing was replaced with quicksandmovies.net. That absolutely did cost me money out of pocket - usually between $200 and $300 a month in its heyday. That was me 'giving back' while working two jobs. Right now though, there isn't anything to give.

That's not to say that quicksandmovies.net won't come back. It will. And with current hosting deals, it won't cost me anything but time, which also doesn't exist. I was hoping to resurrect it this winter, but the move doomed that. So, I'm thinking that next winter will be the opportunity with that. If that 'sucks', please realize that there is a lot of stuff I'd like to be doing (digitally archiving) to my entire personal video library. I can't do any of it now. It's mostly in storage anyways.

So, hang in there, and enjoy the clips that I and others post. It's not a deluge. But it's not a drought either. :)

And, btw, everything that was ever on those tapes will be out there - and a lot more - and in better quality.

Those take me back... I know the qs clip tapes were the first things I ever bought from MPV... and after I bought all of them, male and female, I happened to order a VHS cassette you may have heard of entitled "Quicksand"... and the rest is history.... :D

I personally, am in no particular rush. It isn't like you have not kick started a new community, provided free material for our viewing pleasure, gave us glimpses into your collection, offer a PPV site and DVD's to purchase all the while created Camp MPV , moderate this forum, deal with your own personal life, and still host and maintain three websites. With that being said, I think we can wait ;)

Well, that's pretty lofty praise, and so I hope you won't be offended if I clarify a couple things....

It's pretty much lost in the Fog of Internet, but it was Rob Blaine and Jiminy Thicket who kick started the community. I'm just the happy owner of it's newest home.

But the day to day running of the place is handled by Duncan and General Woundwort - and technically by Kookus. Via emails, I deal with about 4 or 5 admin issues a week (failed log-ins etc.). So, it's a team effort.

The kicker is the three web sites. It's three, but not the three that most people would imagine. It's a ton of work.

But I always enjoy sharing clips when I can, one at a time, or wholesale. Part of it is the sensation of giving. The other part is an ego trip realizing that all those hours spent (some on my hands and knees) in video rental stores - and used book stores and used comics stores, were not in vain.

No offense taken good sire and thanks for the clarification so allow me to rephrase ;),

I know it isn't ALL you in regards to this forum and to Kookus, the General, and Duncan, you all have my salute. I (or anyone else for that matter) will never forget The late Mr. Blaine and his contributions echo within the entire community both QS and WAM related and I doubt anyone can forget JT ;). I am just simply acknowledging that you all tackle alot on a day to day basis, and to simply hold a sword and string over your head over the eventual reappearance of Quicksandmovies.net is unnecessary. It maybe a nice thing to see, but you got alot on your plate as it is, beleive me, we understand ;)

I'm just grateful to anyone and everyone who bothers to contribute to the community, whether it is comments, to fakes, to photos, to posting comic book scenes, artwork, old movie clips, TV scenes, frame grabs, right up to writing and posting stories and producing films and pictures and everything in between, even the non-qs related stuff. You all deserve applause for making our world a nicer, richer place... :D
