Search for an old western scene.

It can't hurt to ask for stuff - nicely, that is...

Search for an old western scene.

Postby James diGriz » Sun Aug 12, 2012 9:21 am

Going through old files, I have remembered one scene that has disappeared.

An old western, a villain and unconscious woman are running from the good guys, when the horse tumbled them into the quicksand. While the villain and hero fight, cuts of the damsel sinking slowly into the quicksand. As the villain reaches for a gun, a friend of the hero shoots him, and the hero saves the girl. It is an old scene, but I would like to find it.

As always, any assistance to locate this scene would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
How unfortunate you didn't have a proper guide to navigate these swamps.

Based on a search through my copy of Crypto's List, the title is probably "Riders of the Desert," a movie from 1932. Amazon appears to have it available for rent or download.

The clip is definitely in need of an upgrade, but here's the scene -

Never seen it but its funny how those old clips are still around. Thanks Dave and James and I do hope you find the missing clips that seem to be scattered out there somewheres.
