Two more from a recent expedition. Apologies for the weird angle, not sure why the lady friend had the camera turned like that...... This is probably the best spot in the whole place. The outflow from the pipe creates an up-welling effect, turning that little unassuming patch of ground into a bottomless sinking spot. It always amazes me how solid it looks till you jump off the pipe.......and end up in there up to your chest.

Two more from my first sink of the year! Same spot, slightly different perspective. I wanted to do some after shots but had to book it out of there when a bunch of dirt bikers showed up.

On one hand getting interrupted is annoying, but on the other hand dirt bikes and quads and trucks are the reason I get easy access. The owner of the quarry has trepassing signs up for liability purposes (if we get hurt it's our problem) but he turns a blind eye to us using the place as an offroad park on weekends. My duel sport loaded with all my sinking gear is about 10 feet away in that pick. VIP parking!

That sounds amazing. I have yet to find a quarry worth exploring on my side of the state (PA)...

Wish I had a place like that to go to - can not find anything on Long Island - getting too old to dig my own in my back yard like I use to
Looking for a real place to sink, Long Island, NY
