those waders look like leather..nice :) It would be difficult getting out if you were chest deep

It depends entirely on how thick the quicksand is and how large their soles are. Additionally, where are you sinking? I have no doubt that if you’re in a swamp, waders are just fine. If they’re barefoot type of waders, then they’re probably fine anywhere. But most waders/hip boots/wellies (rubber boots) aren’t really good for sinking in any tidal areas, because they can get you seriously stuck. Or, you can find that you’re going to have to leave them behind, stuck in the mud after you’ve managed to shimmy your way out of them. I’ve sank in waders on numerous occasions. But those areas were all associated with fresh water. I recommend leaving them behind for exploring tidal mudflat adventures. Otherwise, yes, they should be fine.
