Re: Pics of a quarry near me
think ill just update this. sadly they found my entry point and have wired it back up. so i am keeping on the low for now. i still got the mud flats i love to sink it at western port bay but just sucks having to wait for low tide.
not to mention the car park area during the late hrs of the night is a place where teens like to "hang out".
i got to find a new place LOL

Re: Pics of a quarry near me
I have been to the opposite side of Westernport Bay on a number of occasions, with some deep sinking as a result. The only disadvantage is a long and arduous struggle to get to the deeper parts, but the rewards counter that .....

I had the chance to head down to Stockyard point a few weeks ago, huge tidal beach area littered with lovely spots here and there. Could be the area Mudtogs was talking about. Couple of fisherman around, but all in all had the place to myself.

I was more referring to Lang Lang Beach as a starting point. To get some worthwhile spots in the daytime you have to walk a fair distance away from the old jetty leftovers in order not to be observed to closely by the nearby caravan community. By the way: that quarry sounds and looks like a wonderfull venue, bar the security problem, which is indeed a reality.

It is a nice spot, but a heavy trudge through thick mud to get to the deeper spots.
About another 700 meters further along the beach side there is a channel, which has softer, and deeper -, mud at low tide and standing up in that you will go under, if one wants.
