MUDMAIDEN'S SECOND LIFE SINKING CINEMAS

Postby mudmaiden » Sun Mar 25, 2018 7:46 am

Once again I'm trying my attempt to do quicksand scenes, I'll post a few at a time. One is coming up very shortly!
Tarzan to Jill Hardy: Girl be still. Not sink!!"
From "Valley Of Mystery" : Don't struggle and do not thrash around; that just makes things worse!

Would it be possible for you to do some sort of recording with OBS or something, for example, instead of what seems like a screenshot stopmotion? It is a bit jittery and off putting, but otherwise, I can see a lot of hard work put into this and I'm only nitpicking because I know it's possible to do better, but even if you can't do the quality I've seen before with others, I still appreciate the hard work you did and tell you that you did good and what you can improve on. I hope in no way I am being pushy, abrasive, or cruel to your work. If you want an example of what I've seen in second life in the past, check out MrBlackGoo's second life videos. (He only has like, 2) Not necessarily saying that buying his products is necessary, but it would make the quality higher if instead of a screenshot stopmotion it was an actual animation.

However, I do not know how much work goes into these kinds of projects, and if it would cause stress to make that kind of animation as with non-second life animations, then screenshot stopmotion is fine.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, I mean no harsh words to you, only showing you an example of the quality I've seen and how you can improve if you wish to do so. I apologize if I've come across as aggressive or whatnot. I don't mean to...

This is in response to Solrex” s posting on my frequent animations you all have seen me do from Second Life. Sorry to have taken so long to get back to you in such a time. I’ve some time to consider what is said about some of the projects I do.
First of all, I would like to thank Solrex for his kindness and sensitivity in his remarks about what I do and I appreciate what you said about the input I put into my pieces. I have such a fascination about this subject, especially when females are involved in this quicksand phenomena. I do endeavor to portray the actions and reactions of girls struggling and trying to escape. Second life has provided the best medium so far in doing this type of animation. I know there are other forms out there that can be mastered (Daz, Renerosity, etc.) including some of the fantastic work from Sixguns and others, but SL makes it so accessible. I fully understand what Solrex is saying about the jerking movements in the Movie Maker format. I do the stop motion method in order for me to get the best possible motions possible. I’ve doing this for so long I managed to manipulate the movements to get the action just right. With a wide variety of poses and posing platforms I can get the girls to walk into and stumble into quicksand, pull and thrash around, pushing to get themselves out and finally sink out of sight. A lot of you have seen my work and have enjoyed them, yet I realize I could try other methods to get results.
That being said, I am now attempting to try my hand with ‘live’ animation movements using a video capture medium. I’m using Bandicam for now. I have a short preview to show you on my next posting, coming very soon. If successful, I can do a few more in an episodic thread.
Again, I thank Solrex for his comments. I see this as constructive criticism. This is just a hobby for me, but sometimes making comments discreetly and purposely can communicate Ideas more effectively and productive than just shouting it out disrespectfully which does not do any good!

In this one, Lomy steps into a quaking bog! Notice the mud on her clothing as she struggles and sinks. These are also pics of this in my Some Posting threads
