Runway's latest update added "Motion Brush", which allows you to indicate which area is going to be animated and in what manner. Using the Brush with the Vertical movement now GUARANTEES a sinking effect, which is a huge advance over the previous randomness.

Now it really needs negative prompts and a more robust positive prompt system that is better understood by creators.

Awesome!!!
If the system had one neck,
You know I'd gladly break it.

Interesting possibilities. Looking forward to seeing how far this facility can be pushed and what else can be done with it.

And now some favourites.I've tweaked y process even further, this time using more LoRAs specific to quicksand and detailed textures, plus EpiCRealism as the model. I'm able to directly turn old cartoon art into realistic photos without a middle step. These are some of QSA's classic drawings rendered anew in my current and probably best realistic photography, 1:1 with no middle step.

What's amazing with the tools now is that the models and textures are so much more accurate and precise. In the past 6 months, making these renders would have required significant manual work to recreate, redraw and rearrange. But here, I can in fact plug in an original image and completely change the style. Some of these I simply couldn't do because the AI models couldn't render specifics like props, costumes and hands.

And the bonus: using Runway's motion brush to bring them to life. Truly, we're reached a new peak in bringing our classic QS art to life.

All are very good - the two reaching ones are great for me.

Agree with this.

The animations are interesting but there is still a long way to go. SD has something called Mov2Mov, this allows you to replace the subject of a piece of video with a face of your choice. That doesn't really appeal to me, but a combination of these type of features could move things forward?

Another QSA set. These are, again, 1:1 AI renders from the original low-res drawings. No alterations needed.

Another good set, the fourth one looks familiar. I'm trying to remember the original drawings.
