That's a good quality image, you can see the radial markings in the eyes, usually the irises are flat or a gradient, even close up like this. Nicely done!

After reading the post about the new La Brea scene I went to work lol.

Kitik attempted the trial to become a warrior, bring home a worthy beast and be honored.... But like many hopefuls before her, the deadly sands proved the true challenger.

I can see why you picked the first one you posted, but these last two are also excellent. Very impressive.

I especially love the pic with the cracks, giving it the look of a seemingly solid surface that conceals much more treacherous, saturated gulping sand beneath!

Everything about this is great but I love the wide overhead view for this. I too often make my view at ground level like I'm holding a camera there. Not too bad when there's an interesting background but this one would be so much less informative if shot that way. Great, great, call on that.
