I am going to try to get a short QS video out, "Soon" (tm)... I am struggling between A) rendering faster, or B) rendering Light.
This challenge is proving to be one my decrepit computer may not survive, oh well.
it is mine to try: to do, or... watch my 'puter die. (*Enough of this. I'm a big boy...)
On topic though, I am trying. I am studying. I am working.
Here could be a sample of a future video to come.

Nice job there, Noone! You're doing all the right things by trying, studying, and working. Keep experimenting with stuff and you will gain experience and confidence. If you can afford it, a newer, more powerful computer (not a laptop) can only help and would ease some of your rendering decision making woes.
But good work, and thanks for sharing your efforts!

Re: Very-VERY=VERY=SLOWZ...
okay...
I tried.
I got beat.
I hit the web for all the free content I could get my paws on.
due to the failure to pack/label elements correctly,
and most things being for model #X? and not adaptable,
the available library of stuff is so, limited
all the official stuff is pretty much $20 at a go.
And the occasional virus
I took a break. did a top-2-bottom on my machine.
I will start over.
I need to keep it simple.

Re: Very-VERY=VERY=SLOWZ...
That's the thing with Daz Studio. The program is free, but you probably won't get very far without spending at least a little on content. I have also been scraping websites for the few freebies I could find (like here: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/), but there's not much to go around. And yes, sometimes the free things you get won't be compatible with the model you are using. At least fitting Genesis 2 & 3 content to the Genesis 8 model is worth a shot.
Also, when you get any content that has materials/shaders, pay attention to whether they are designed for 3Delight or Iray or both. I prefer the Iray rendering engine for its soft shadows and the available shaders and therefore avoid old content that does not support it.
You probably already know this, but just in case... Iray is being developed by NVidia. It can run on CPU or NVidia graphics chips for hardware acceleration. So, if you have one of those in your computer, try it for better and faster renders.

Re: Very-VERY=VERY=SLOWZ...
these are ot going to be the video. but it is what I was trying to do...
a kind of shipwreck survivor story.
I am going to cut back to the most basic sink video.
no camera pans, no jiggle animations, no animations at all really...
why? because my PC will melt if I don't. Each image took 8 hours to render.
Sorry folks, but any kind of big complicated movie would literally take years.
My revised plan?
"giant dragon egg nest" "Y-translated down" add "beach scene"
Sink a genesis 2 or 3 female with breast mod in the middle of the "bubble ring" of the egg nest.

Yep. At that rate it's 480 days for a one-minute animation (at just 24fps). That does not mean you will never create that animation, but it makes sense to postpone that dream for a while. Creating stills is challenging enough for starters. I'm also rendering one right now BTW.
